Charlotte County – A low pressure system south of Cape Cod will track towards the Maritimes today.
Snow ahead of the low is expected over the extreme southern regions of the province spreading northward throughout the day. The snow will taper off tonight over most regions, but will persist in the easternmost regions of New Brunswick.
Total snowfall amounts could potentially reach the warning criteria of 20 centimetres. Some areas along the Bay of Fundy could see a brief changeover to rain overnight with the risk of freezing rain.
Meteorologists with Environment Canada are currently tracking another system which may bring between 5-10 mm of rain Tuesday.
