Passed from our hands to God’s on June 19, 2018 at the Campobello Lodge, Welshpool, Campobello, NB, Marie (Graham) Calder; formerly of Canterbury. She was the wife of the late Theodore Calder of Welshpool, NB, and was the daughter of the late Harold and Grace Graham.
Early in their marriage, Marie and her late husband Teddy resided in Ontario for a period of time before establishing their home on the island she loved. During her many years on Campobello Island, Marie was employed at the canning plant, with NB Tourism, and at Campobello Lodge, where she served as Union President.
Marie was a passionate caregiver at home and in the community. She spent many years caring for friends and neighbors at Campobello Lodge. Marie was also a volunteer on the local ambulance.
Marie looked forward to worshiping at her church. One of her biggest joys was participating in the Cantatas. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. They enjoyed her love for fishing and hunting. Marie was renowned for her cooking. She had many friends with whom she shared her adventurous spirit and keen sense of humor. Perhaps her biggest job was raising her children, extending to always supporting a child overseas.
