At the Campobello Lodge on March 29, 2018, Kathleen Mae (Newman) Cline, age 92, widow of the late Raymond Cline of Welshpool, Campobello Island, NB, passed away after a brief period of illness. She was born April 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Lowell and Christine (Greene) Newman.
She was employed by the Roosevelt Commission for twenty-four years and was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lana Rae and David Savage of Palm Coast, Florida; grandsons, Brett Savage of Portland, Maine and Michael Savage of Palm Coast, Florida; granddaughter, Gina Savage Gambino of Fairhope, Alabama; her sister-in-law and godmother, Erlene Newman of Campobello Island, NB, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caretakers.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raye, in 1989; her stepmother, Virginia Newman; her sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Darrell Chute; her brother-in-law and godfather, S. Winslow Newman; her godmother, Mae Newman, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A graveside service will take place in June in the Anglican Church Cemetery, with time and date to be announced.
