St. Stephen – St. Stephen Town Council tonight approved a development agreement with Cordova Realty Ltd. for the construction of a hotel, a restaurant, a retail plaza, and a fueling station on Route 3, just past the Route 1 overpass.

The development will be called St. Stephen Landing.

“We’re very happy that Cordova is joining us in our growth,” said St. Stephen Mayor Allan MacEachern.

“It’s Christmas in June,” said Future St. Stephen executive director Richard Fulton with a laugh, before adding “a lot of people have played a role in this… and we’re really happy Cordova’s come through and going to build.”

MacEachern said Fulton and chief administrative officer Jeff Renaud have worked very hard in bringing the contract to fruition.
