Charlotte County – Temperatures throughout the province are forecasted to quickly drop below freezing mark, with temperatures expected to remain well below zero tonight and Saturday.

Areas affected include Grand Manan and coastal Charlotte County, St. Stephen and northern Charlotte County and Saint John and county.

The combination of rainfall, snowmelt, rapidly dropping temperatures and an additional five centimetres of snow will likely cause roads and walking surfaces to become slippery and hazardous by late this morning or early this afternoon.

Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.
