Beverly Ann Frye passed away peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB, on Friday, June 29, 2018. Bev was born in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of Albert Bernard and Ida Elizabeth (Lloyd) Cornman.
In 1974 Bev moved to New Brunswick with her second husband and three children to farm, but due to an allergic reaction to black fly bites, Bev was unable to garden. After moving here, they welcomed their fourth child.
In 1977, Bev and Pete started Bayside Stevedoring Ltd. in Bayside. Soon after, Bev started her ship agency company, Bev Frye Shipping. In 1990, they partnered with a Dutch company to build a cold storage facility. Their efforts kick started activity at the Port of Bayside.
Bev is survived by her children: Cheryl (Steve), Pete (Trinh), Christy and Dan (Elaine), grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Jessica, Carrie, Daniel, Megan, Breanna, Zackery and Chad, three great-grandchildren (more on the way) and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson, sister-in-law, Christine Cornman, nephews: Dave, Ken, Eric and Brad, and niece, Dawn.
Bev was predeceased by her parents, grandson, Patrick, brother, Butch (A.B., Jr), sister, Janet Woodhouse, and brother-in-law, Bill Woodhouse.
There will be no funeral service or visitation at this time.
