Stolen bus found north of St. Stephen - May. 02, 2014

Moores Mills
At least one group of students in the Lorneville area west of Saint John faced the prospects of a delay or change of bus service Thursday morning.
Given that Lorneville is well outside the coverage area of the Courier, the good reader may wonder what this has to do with this area – and such readers would not be alone.
The RCMP, too, is trying to determine why a school bus stolen from the Lorneville area was driven westwards into the depths of Charlotte County.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, a resident located a bus abandoned in the ditch along Route 745, which branches westward off Route 3 about three km north of St. Stephen. Police believe the bus was abandoned shortly before discovery.
The bus sustained “minor damage only,” according to an RCMP spokesperson.
Anyone who may have observed this bus being operated or have knowledge as to who is responsible for this theft, is requested to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
