McAdam RCMP dismantle outdoor marijuana grow operation - Jul. 04, 2014

McAdam RCMP located and dismantled an outdoor marijuana grow operation June 27 following information provided by the public.
Police seized 342 marijuana plants from an isolated wooded area near St. Croix. Once mature, the plants seized could have produced up to 171,000 marihuana joints.
"Information from the public about grow operations like these go a long way to help keep drugs off the streets," said Cpl. Marc Trioreau of the McAdam RCMP.
"It is important for the public and police to work together and we ask the public to continue to report suspicious activity relating to outdoor marijuana grow operations. We follow up on all tips and it makes a big difference."
Anyone with any information concerning an outdoor marijuana grow operation can call their local police or report it anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or crimestoppers.ca If your information leads to an arrest, you could qualify for a cash award of up to $2,000.
