The Charlotte County Museum will host an open house Saturday, Aug. 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 443 Milltown Blvd.
Heather Estey, interim chair of the museum’s board of directors, said local musician Adam Olmstead will provide the entertainment, performing on the museum’s lawn. Refreshments will be provided and admission for the open house will be free.
Estey noted there is just one week left in the museum’s 2014 season. This year has seen triple the number of visitors the museum had in its last year of operation said Estey.
“We hope to see the numbers increase even more next year, as we will have the winter to develop a marketing plan.”
The museum has not operated at its main location for the past four years because of money woes and dwindling attendance. It did open a satellite office in downtown St. Stephen for two summers.
