A look at Charlotte County sports from last weekend

Charlotte County – The county was a happening spot for several sports events recently.

The Andrew Bartlett Memorial Hockey Tournament, hosted by the Charlotte County Minor Hockey Association, took place between two arenas (the Patrick Connors Recreational Complex in Blacks Harbour, and the W.C. O’Neill Arena Complex in Saint Andrews) and hosted more than 70 games over the span of four days, beginning last Thursday, and concluding Sunday.

In St. George, the Fundy Mariners junior varsity boys basketball team hosted their annual tournament at the Fundy Middle and High School last Friday and Saturday.

In St. Stephen, the St. Stephen Spartans varsity girls basketball team hosted the 28th Annual Rotary Invitational Tournament, on Friday and Saturday and successfully defended their title from last year.
