On April 1, 2018, Ralph left this earth surrounded by his daughters at the VG in Halifax, NS. Ralph was a great family man; his family was his life and he enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them.
He was born in Lubec, Maine, on January 21, 1935 and lived on Deer Island until he graduated high school. He attended vocational school and teachers college in Saint John, NB. He then married the love of his life, Joan, in 1955 and adopted two girls, Tami and Pollyanna, and raised his family on Campobello where he spent over 40 years of his life doing what he loved as a fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Pollyanna (Matt) Rodgers of Halifax, NS, Tami (Raymond) Brown of Campobello; his beloved grandchildren, Alex and Megan, and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jacob; his wife, Grace Patterson, and stepson, Paul, of Lower Sackville, NS; his brother, Prescott Lord of Augusta, Maine; several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
Predeceased by his wife Joan, his parents Moneda and Lawrence Lord, and his sisters Hazel and Donna.
Resting at St. Ann’s Anglican Church, Welshpool, NB, from where the service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall. The family will receive friends at the church during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7 – 9 p.m.
