MACDONALD, Judith Patricia

Judy (Williamson) Macdonald died September 27th, 2017, suddenly at her home in Orpington, Kent, England. She was the daughter of the late W. Leigh and Alice (Conley) Williamson of Saint Andrews, where she grew up and where her father was a well known businessman and President of Conley’s Lobsters Ltd., a former Mayor, and Member of the Legislative Assembly. Judy was born November 20th, 1946 in Saint John and graduated from Vincent Massey High School in 1964. She then attended the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. After working in the travel industry in Toronto and London she joined the CGI Canada Group in Toronto in systems development and information technology on assignments in North America and Great Britain. In 2003 Judy relocated permanently to London and continued as a project manager with CGI Europe until her retirement in 2013. Judy is survived by her daughters Katie Macdonald of Orpington and Meaghan Pearce, son-in-law Fred Pearce and granddaughter Vivienne of Lewisham in SE London, and her former husband and friend Lawrence Macdonald of Orpington, as well as cousins in Saint Andrews, Moncton, Fredericton and further afield in British Columbia, New York, Nevada and Colorado, and her aunt Mrs. Cecil Williamson “Bertie” of Fredericton. A memorial service for Judy was held on October 13th, 2017 at the Hither Green Crematorium in Lewisham.
