Planned power outage Thursday in St. George and area

St. George – There will be a planned power outage in St. George, Back Bay, and Johnson Settlement Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while NB Power carries out emergency repairs to its St. George sub-station.

Communications officer with NB Power, Marc Belliveau, said that, some time ago, a tree fell on some lines causing a re-closer malfunction at the sub-station, which affected about 250 customers. The re-closer has to be replaced, which prompted the planned outage.
