St. Stephen Spartans provincial sevens rugby tournament officially open

St. Stephen – The varsity boys’ sevens rugby provincial tournament opened at 11 a.m. this morning at the St. Stephen High School.

Bob Poirier led members of the St. Stephen Spartans, Carleton North Stars, École Sainte-Anne Castors, and École L’Odyssée in the singing of the national anthem.

In the first game of the tournament, the Spartans defeated the Stars 21-0, with tries from Deegan Farrell (two), and Lucas Hanson (one). Nik McCallum successfully kicked all three conversions.
