CAMPBELL, Paul Harvey

May 11, 1951 – March 11, 2020 – With such broken hearts, we announce the passing of our dearest brother, father and grandfather Paul Campbell at the Charlotte County Hospital on March 11, 2020. Beloved brother of Bob (Oshawa, ON), Lois (Vancouver, B.C.), Earl (St. Stephen, N.B.), sister Betty (Jeff), (Quinte West, ON) and his aunt Cynthia Palin (Nanaimo, B.C.), aunt Iris Van Wart (Midland, ON) and his many cousins.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Sharon, his mother Joan Grant, Campbell (Moody) and his aunts Winnie Buchanan, Olive McKenna and Margaret Rudner, and his many cousins.

Paul’s touch reached far and wide being admired and respected by his family and many friends for his hard work ethic, general sense of decency and genuine caring for the underdog. Paul was a lifelong fisherman and hunter. He had many talents, but the one we admired so much, was his ability to work with his hands to help build his beautiful property on Chamcook Lake, St. Andrews, N.B.

The family would like to thank the Extra-Mural Program in St. George, N.B. and their caring nursing staff who brightened his day, along with the PSWs who made his last days both peaceful and comfortable.

His brothers and sisters cannot thank enough his loyal friends, Johnny and Hardy, who were there every day, one making his breakfast, the other dinner and keeping him company. We also want to thank his neighbor Tim for taking such wonderful care of  his beloved cat, Rex, as well as his wonderful neighbors, Rose, Ed, both Mike’s and other friends for preparing and dropping off all the delicious food for Paul, as well as plowing and sanding the road into Paul’s house, so the Extra-Mural nurses, PSWs and ambulance could reach him.

Finally, we would also like to thank Father Suresh Savariraj, for going to the hospital to give our brother his last rites.

Never forgotten and always in our hearts dear brother. We know how much you loved and missed Sharon and wanted to join her in heaven. You will be so missed by your brothers, sisters and so caring friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Milltown, N.B.

  Lovingly, your brothers and sisters,

Bob, Lois, Earl and Betty (Jeff).
