St. Stephen – Effective February 1 2020, the Town of St. Stephen’s Planning and Development Services will be provided by the Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission (SNBSC).

Building inspections will continue to be carried out by the current Town of St. Stephen inspector, Manzer Young, but permit applications will now be received directly by SNBSC. Before you begin construction, please contact SNBSC’s office at 506-466-7369.

They will be happy to assist you with your project and answer any questions you may have about the permit process or any town planning by-laws (zoning, subdivision, etc.). Building permit, zoning, and subdivision application forms can be found online at www.snbsc.ca and sent via email to planning@snbsc.ca. Application forms may also be dropped off or picked up in person at 21 River Street, Suite A, St. Stephen (on the river side of the St. Croix Retirement Home).
