After visits with family and friends during her recent hospital stay, it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Leona Hannon at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, February 28, 2020, with special niece Joanne Levison by her side. Vera was the daughter of the late Kenneth R. Hannon and Mrs. Ruth K Hannon of Little Ridge, NB.
Vera was a devoted caregiver during her mother’s later years. She enjoyed knitting and visiting with her family and friends.
Survived by sister, Mary Levison, Fredericton; two brothers, William Hannon and his wife Ruth, Bangor, Maine and Charles Hannon of Trenton, Ontario. In addition to Joanne Levison (Fredericton) and special niece, Kim Oleson (Trenton), Vera is survived by eight nieces and nephews: Gretchen Hannon-Grenke (Belleville), Brenda Martin (Oshawa), Kathy Nevers (Fredericton), Maria Hannon (Ottawa), Bonnie Richards (Florida), Ken Hannon (Belleville), Anthony Hannon (Parham, Ontario) and Larry Hannon (Milford, Maine) and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vera was predeceased by her brother Robert and sister-in-law Mildred (Millie) Hannon of Ottawa, her sister-in-law Cornelia (Corie) Hannon of Trenton and her brother-in-law Douglas (Doug) Levison of Fredericton.

Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main St., St. Stephen, NB. Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Doug McLean officiating. Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
