Grand Manan/coastal Charlotte County – The heat wave that’s been parked in the region will continue this weekend and into next week.
Temperatures on this summer solstice will reach 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, with a Humidex of 33 to 39.
Hot and humid conditions will redevelop over eastern parts of the province on Sunday and continue into mid week. Conditions over remaining parts of New Brunswick will persist tonight and continue into mid week as well.
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.
Keep your house cool. Block the sun by closing curtains or blinds.
Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
