Heat warning in effect for Grand Manan and Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY – Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Grand Manan and Charlotte County, for today, Sunday, June 27 through Tuesday, June 29.

According to The Weather Network, Monday will see the Humidex reach just over 40 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures over the coming days will remain between 18 to 23 degrees Celsius overnight, and 27 to 33 degrees Celsius through the day.

Temperatures are expected to be cooler in coastal regions.

Extreme heat can impact anyone, including pets.  You and your pets should stay in a cool place, and stay hydrated.  Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day; early morning and later in the evening.
