JACKSON, Elaine M. – Elaine M. (Atkinson) Jackson, 87, passed away at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB on Monday, March 8, 2021.

  Born in Milltown NB, daughter of the late Earl and Lottie (Lutz) Atkinson. She grew up in Green Mountain, NB. Elaine met her husband Richard Jackson while she was working at the Sunrise Restaurant in St. Stephen. They were married in 1955 and were blessed with six children who were all raised in St. Stephen.

  Elaine attended Gateway Cathedral and was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion. She had been employed at Ganong’s Candy Factory, Garcelon Stamp Office, Carman’s Diner, the Wandlyn Restaurant, and Flewelling Insurance Company.

  She loved to dance, sing, and attend live music performances, and she enjoyed playing games of all kinds with friends and family.

  Elaine is survived by her brother, Gene Atkinson of Oak Bay, NB, and her children: Dale of St. Stephen; Darlene and her partner, Scott of Victoria, BC; Kerry and Elaine of Eastport, Maine; Kevin and Vicki, of Milford, NS; Michael of Toronto, ON; Mark and Michelle of Toronto, ON.

  She was proud of her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Michael and Kim Jackson and their children Kaitlynn and Taylor; Jennifer and Clinton Cunningham and their children Ethan, Devin, and Brody; Paul S. Moon; Zechariah Donovan and partner Kelsey Arrowsmith; Emma Donovan; Hanna Donovan and partner Lucas Orr and their son, Oliver Orr; Samantha Jackson; CJ Jackson; Nicholas Bertin and his son, Michael; and Charlotte Mae Jackson.

  In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her siblings Charles Atkinson, Carl Atkinson, and Gertrude (Atkinson) McKim; and her granddaughter, Mary Donovan. Elaine always had a special place in her heart for all her nieces, nephews, many, many cousins, extended family, and her treasured friends.

  A celebration of Elaine’s life will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Heart Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, CNIB or a charity of your choice.
