POCOLOGAN – A drone search, police dog assisted perimeter, and a resist of arrest have led to a 30-year-old Fairfield man facing several charges following his escapades in the Pocologan area, says an RCMP press release.

Zachary Roger Gordon Orr faces several charges, including assaulting a peace officer, two counts of resisting arrest, and failure to comply with an order. He heard those charges in Saint John Provincial Court on Tuesday, Nov. 9 and was remanded into custody.

Orr fled the scene before police arrived after a report Saturday, Nov. 6 to St. George RCMP a man was in breach of house arrest. RCMP then again responded to a call Monday, Nov. 8 Orr had been spotted in the same area; again fleeing prior to police arriving.

Orr was later located on the heels of police setting-up a perimeter and searching the area using search drones and police dog services. Orr then assaulted a police officer, resisting arrest.

The officer was unharmed.
