MERRILL, Patricia “Patti” Page

MERRILL, Patricia “Patti” Page – The passing of Patricia “Patti” Page Merrill of St. George NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on March 24, 2024 with her daughter Jessie and her family by her side. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on September 14, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Karen (Moses) Merrill.

A loving mother, MeeMa, sister, niece, aunt and great-aunt, Patty will be sadly missed by her daughter: Jessie (Jay) Golden of Utopia NB; her granddaughter: Mackenzie; sister: Shelly (Fred) Merrill-MacKillop of St. George NB; brothers: Wade Merrill of Blacks Harbour NB and Jason (Christina) Merrill of Deer Island NB; uncles: Woody (Ellen) Merrill of St. George NB and Rudy (Barb) Moses of Grand Bay-Westfield NB; great-uncle: Mike Moses of Ontario; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Up until her illness, Patti was employed with Connors Bros. in Blacks Harbour for over 30 years. Having worked in many departments, mainly the snack line and golden smoke line, she was also the Department Representative for a number of years. Patti was a graduate of Fundy High School, Class of 1982, where she made many lifelong friends. An amateur artist, Patti enjoyed creating from plastic canvases and had a love for the colour purple. She was a die-hard Philadelphia fan, always cheering for both the Phillies and the Flyers, and this was well known by the community as she displayed her jersey in her window. By far, Patti’s most important and favourite part of life was being a “MeeMa” and being known by her nieces and nephews as “Aunty Flash” as she always had a camera in her hand. Her love and devotion to her family and friends will be forever missed.
