Old Man Winter just won’t go away ~ however much we wish he would

Krisi Marples/Courier There's more bad weather in the forecast for Charlotte County.

St. Stephen – It’s not what you want to hear, but it’s what you need to know – there’s more winter weather on the immediate horizon.

Environment Canada is forecasting a blast of everything but the kitchen sink over the next 12 hours or so.Beginning this afternoon, the forecast is for snow to begin across the province in the southwest, intensifying this evening.

Rapidly accumulating snowfall amounts of between 15-25 centimetres are expected to be mixed with ice pellets in this region, changing to freezing rain or rain before it ends. 10 to 15 millimetres of rain is expected along the Fundy coast in additition to the snowfall.

Public Safety Canada is encouraging everyone to make an emergency plan and prepare an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first aid kit, and a flashlight.
