Province adds two more cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, August 6

New Brunswick – Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, August 6.

The new cases are temporary foreign workers (TFW) who arrived in Moncton and began immediately self-isolating. One case is an individual between 40 and 49 and the other is between 50 and 59, both in Zone 1, the Moncton region.

Four cases reported Wednesday, August 5 in Zone 7 – the Miramichi region will now be counted as part of Zone 1, as these four TFW’s were isolating and tested in that region.

These additions bring the number of confirmed cases in New Brunswick is 176 with 168 recovered. There have been two deaths, and six cases are active. As of Thursday, 53,999 tests have been conducted.
