Rainfall warning remains in effect for much of Charlotte County

St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County – Heavy rain continues as an additional 30 to 60 mm of rain is still expected for the St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County regions, with some localized areas seeing up to another 80 mm.

Rain is expected to continue throughout Tuesday evening, into early Wednesday morning.

The region has already seen anywhere between 25 and 75 mm of rain through the day.

Be advised heavy rain can cause flash floods and poor driving conditions as water sits on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, and officials advise residents do not approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
