MAYFIELD – An RCMP press release states remains found in Mayfield on Oct. 23 have been identified as missing 39-year-old Mayfield man, Luke Cunningham.
Cunningham was reported missing Sept. 7, having last been seen walking northbound on Route 735 near Barters Settlement on Sept. 4.
A property owner had called the RCMP on finding the remains in a wooded area close to Route 735 in October.
The investigation is ongoing, but the release states police do not believe criminal activity was involved.
