After overcoming multiple injuries, senior Spartan Beth Harris is playing her best basketball of the season, say coaches. She recently led her team to victory at the SSHS Rotary Invitational Tournament and was the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. “Her defensive ability, excellent rebounding, scoring, as well as physical and mental toughness are critical parts of the Lady Spartan’s success,” say coaches. “She is a leader on and off the floor and as captain she is working hard to ensure team success as the Spartans approach the NBIAA playoffs.”

Ayden Hatt is a multi-sport athlete for SSHS. Golf, football, hockey and volleyball keep him active in Spartan green and white. “This young man has the potential to change any game he is part of,” say coaches. “His athletic ability makes him a threat on the field or on the ice. Whether it is a sudden burst of speed to beat a defender, or a blistering slap shot, this player makes the opposition take notice. He plays as a power forward should, heavy hits, soft hands and the ability to find the back of the net. He currently leads the team in points and penalty mins. He plays for the love of the game and is an excellent ambassador for the Spartans.”
