Unplanned power outage impacting large swathe of Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY – Approximately 900 customers across Charlotte County have found themselves without power today, Sunday, Dec. 12. NB Power is reporting unplanned outages in Maces Bay, Oak Bay, Oak Haven, Rollingdam, Saint Andrews, St. Stephen and Utopia, with estimated restoration times anywhere between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.

No cause for the outages was provided by NB Power, with the website simply stating unplanned outages “occur as a result of damage to NB Power facilities” and the “cause of damage may be weather related, vehicle accidents, vandalism, trees falling on lines etc.”.
