Vehicle of missing 76-year-old Musquash man found abandoned

MUSQUASH – The search for a missing 76-year-old Musquash man has taken a new turn. Today, Wednesday, Sept. 1 the 2013 grey Buick Verano, the vehicle it’s believed Paul Doughty was last driving, has been located abandoned in Pennfield, on a trail just off the McKay Loop Rd. RCMP are searching the area with helicopter, dogs and on foot, states an RCMP press release.

Doughty was reported missing Thursday, Aug. 19.

Last seen on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at McKay’s Blueberries in Pennfield between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Paul Doughty is five feet, seven inches (170 centimetres) tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. He has short grey hair and brown eyes.

RCMP have followed several recent leads and “unconfirmed sightings” of Doughty in the Miramichi and Fredericton regions.
