With a tentative agreement in place, New Brunswick’s students return to school Monday, Nov. 15

NEW BRUNSWICK – On the heels of the province reaching a tentative agreement with striking CUPE locals representing provincial employees from parts 1, 2, and 3, the Government of New Brunswick announced in a press release Sunday, Nov. 14 that all children will return to school for in-person learning beginning Monday, Nov. 15.

The release goes on to say other provincial offices and services will return to normal operations as soon as possible.

Community colleges will resume normal operation Tuesday, Nov. 16.

Details of the tentative deal have not been released, but a statement by the CUPE bargaining team Saturday evening, alluded to pension details being shared with CUPE locals 2745 and 1253.

Full details will not be released until the agreement is ratified, following the voting process by the seven CUPE locals involved.
